The Martha Johnston Memorial Scholarship in

Marine Science 2006

The Friends of Moss Landing Marine Laboratories is pleased to announce the Martha Johnston scholarship for a MLML female graduate student. Mr. Bruce Johnston, former MLML student, established this scholarship in memory of his daughter.

Martha found a great deal of enjoyment in her piano, sports and in collecting rocks and minerals. She grew up loving the outdoors, especially the ocean, and taught us that the beauty of knowledge lies in how it is used. Martha always enjoyed helping people, and the establishment of this scholarship in her name is her families way of perpetuating Martha's joy in giving.

The Friends are now seeking applicants for the Martha Johnston Scholarship. A single scholarship of $1000 to be used at the discretion of the recipient will be awarded in April 2004.
